Stellar Download Manager is designed to help you send downloads from your browser to the Stellar desktop application running on your device.
Stellar Download Manager only processes the minimum information needed to work locally on your device, such as download links, filenames, download status, app settings, and optional authentication data needed for downloads you ask it to handle.
The Chrome and Firefox extensions request broad site access and download-related permissions because they need to detect downloadable files across sites and hand those downloads off to the native Stellar application.
The browser extensions do not collect personal data for the developer, do not sell data, and do not use analytics or tracking services.

The extensions are intended to operate locally between your browser and your copy of Stellar Download Manager. They are not designed to send your browsing history or download activity to a remote analytics service.
The desktop application uses any locally processed information only to make the app work.

Based on the current implementation, download history and queue data are stored in local application data files on your device, and extension preferences are stored in the browser’s local extension storage.
If you use the browser extensions to intercept a download from a site that requires authentication, the extension may collect relevant cookies for that download and pass them to the local Stellar desktop application so the requested download can proceed.
These cookies are used for download authorization and compatibility. They are not used for advertising.
